Londoners have been celebrating Christmas for more than 1600 years, and at the heart of their festivities stood the beautiful and varied churches of the old City. This year we will be getting our festive fix with a whistle stop tour of some of the old City of London's most memorable and beautiful churches, decked out for Christmas and at their most atmospheric. From medieval Gothic, to Wren-wrought elegance we'll see stained glass to die for, carved fonts, curiosities, painted domes, modern art and wedding cake plasterwork, and hear the fascinating histories, ghost stories and legends witnessed by their ancient walls. As usual we shall get ourselves in the Yuletide spirit with a mulled wine and a mince pie en route.
Walk is a little over a mile on the flat, duration c.100 mins. Final details will be sent to all bookers Wednesday 10th December.
